I am pleased to announce that Jim Dornberg of EdTechUpdate is our first BlogBall champion!
Well, okay, not that pleased given that my third-place team ended up sixth after the playoffs but, nonetheless, Jim deserves congratulations! Jim’s Motor City Kitties beat out Chris Lehmann’s Lehmann’s Demons in an extremely hard-fought final matchup. As promised, CASTLE will be sending Jim a trophy to recognize his championship.
Here are the final standings (and a manager’s list) for anyone who’s interested. The first season of edublogger fantasy baseball was extremely fun. If you’re interested in participating next year, drop me an e-mail with the word BASEBALL in the subject. Maybe we’ll get enough folks for two leagues…
Thanks for the love! I can't wait to see my trophy. I've never won a fantasy baseball trophy before in all my years of playing, although my friends did give me one that went unclaimed by the guy I replaced in their league. I promise to put it on our mantle, at least until my wife tells me to take it down, at which time I'll display it proudly at my cubicle and tell all who will listen about my brush with fame as I took all those other edubloggers to school with my incredible skill (and even more incredible streak of luck during the playoffs). But seriously, Scott, thanks so much for organizing this. If you'll have me, I'd like to defend my championship next year.
