I was the keynote speaker for the Owatonna Public Schools' kickoff day for all staff for the new school year. I've worked with the district before. Not only am I continually impressed with its desire to move its educators into the 21st century, this time the local paper covered my presentation. It's always fun to see others' perceptions of your work!
Scott,
Those teacher comments that were quoted showed that you wowed the crowd. Not!
Sounds like this is a district that needed to hear what you had to say.

Scott,
Glad you made it back to MN for this important work! Hmmm, I wonder if they have a district technology plan?
Also, did you see the article in today's Star Tribune about the new Shakopee High School titled, "Shakopee High Students Prepare for Culture Shock"? Looks like they have a lot of shiny new equipment, but do they have your Beginning of the Year Technology Checklist? School technology leadership was not discussed in the article. I feel a letter to the editor coming on!

The staff actually were great. Sorry if the newspaper article made it seem otherwise.
The point that Mr. Schultz was making was the incredible power of American farmers to supply most of our nation's (and others') food needs despite their dwindling proportion of the American workforce. He's right. It's amazing!
